I can't access library databases from my Mac from on-campus. What can I do?
Answer
If you are using the Safari browser, you have the option of using a "Private Browsing Mode". If you turn on this setting, it basically hides your location from our proxy server so it can't identify whether you are on campus or not. When the proxy server is confused like this, it generally does not allow access.
Try changing your settings to turn off "Private Browsing Mode" to access Briggs Library Databases.
Tap the overlapping squares icon.
Click the down arrow next to Private Browsing to see if your browser tab is listed as private.
Click on the tabs area indicated in blue to use a public access tab and access the library's resources from a public tab.
