How do I embed Kanopy videos in D2L so they will not require a second login to the proxy server?

In Kanopy, select the video you want to share. Click Share, then under “Embed this Video” capture the highlighted portion of the Embed link as shown below. Instead of copying the entire link, copy the portion of the link that begins with https and ends before frameborder (D2L does not allow embedding Kanopy videos using the full embed code). Here’s an example: https://sdstate.kanopy.com/embed/73716?v=20190405
In D2L, go to Content and open the content area you want to add the video to and click New then choose Create a Link.
Add a title for the video and copy the link into the link box. You can choose whether the video will play within D2L or open a new window. If the video opens in a new window, D2L will not track who has watched it.
The video is embedded. You can now add the D2L information such as dates and restrictions, learning objectives, etc.
If the video was embedded to open in a new window, the video will play in full screen mode. Students will not have to log into Kanopy.
